National Night Out is the annual community-building campaign that promotes neighborhood togetherness, and enhances the relationship between and among neighbors. By building a more engaged community, our neighborhood becomes more cohesive and shares tips to promote community safety and crime prevention.

Join with your neighbors in Austin, and throughout Texas, by getting your neighbors together outside on the evening of Tuesday, October 1, to get better acquainted, catch up with each other, and welcome new neighbors. Note: your block party can be on another date if more convenient for your neighbors. Over time, here in Anderson Mill we have had many NNO block parties every year! The Anderson Mill Neighborhood Association is proud to sponsor and facilitate this event!

Would you like to host an NNO party but feel hesitant to head it up!? No worries. We can answer your questions and help you design a block party that will work for you. Contact Cheryl, a long-standing member of our community at maxcher@swbell.net. She can assist you. AMNA believes that knowing your neighbors makes our neighborhood stronger, better, and a more desirable place to live.

Step One: Register your block party by September 8 with the APD Office of Community Liaison. You can request first responder visits (APD, AFD, EMS) on this form.

Step Two: Register your block party with AM Neighborhood Association in the form below to receive helpful party tips, HEB gift cards for party supplies, swag from the Travis County Kick-off Event, National NNO sponsors like Family Dollar and Starbucks.

Also register your party with www.natw.org, National Association of Town Watch, which has great information on having block parties and NNO theme merchandise on their website.
